Junior Hurling

Our junior hurlers played Newport last Saturday in Annacarthy in the semi final of the County Junior league. We won on a scoreline of 1-15 to 1-9 and will now play Toomevara in the final next Saturday in Holycross at 2.00pm. Team was: John Moroney, Kieran Clancy, Paul Horan, Colm Dunne, Ciarán Mockler, Nicky Kearney, Paddy Moroney, Aidan Buckley, Danny Gleeson, Tony O Brien, Conor Barry, Shane Gorey, Darren Boland, Robbie McCormack, Aaron Cronin Subs: Mark Slattery, Brian McCormack, Richie Needham, Conor Cuddihy, Willie O Brien. Due to injuries Neil Gleeson and Conor Clancy did not tog out.

Under 21 hurling

Our under21 hurlers defeated Ballybacon-Grange in their third group game last Sunday afternoon in Ballylooby. We led by 0-10 to 1-5 at half time and ran out winners on a scoreline of 1-13 to 1-6. We must now await the result of a Killenaule/Clonmel Óg game to see who we play in the semi final. This match will be on this weekend but no fixture had been made when going to print. The team last Sunday was: Mark Mullally, Ciarán Mockler, Brian Healy, Ciarán O’Meara, Paul Moloney, Nicky Kearney, Conor Clancy, Brian Delahaunty, Dylan Fitzgerald, Aidan Buckley, Cathal Hurley, Robbie Meagher, Brendan Gleeson, Ronan Fitzgerald, Mark Slattery. Subs: Darren Boland , Conor Gorey, Gerard Maher, Tommy O Brien.

Last week when Presentation Ballingarry Secondary School defeated Coláiste Daibhead of Cork in the Munster Senior Colleges football championship by 4-8 to 1-6. This week they defeated Tramore Secondary School in the Munster Senior Colleges championship by 2-14 to 1-6.  St. Patricks had 5 players in action and 3 more on the bench. They were: Ciarán Mockler, Darren Boland, Aidan Buckley, Nial Keane, Jamie Broderick, Michael Boland, Nail Mockler and Brian Anglim.

Sean Gael Award

Congratulations to Jimmy Gleeson who was presented with his Sean Gael award by former GAA President Peter Quinn on last Sunday afternoon in The Dome at Semple Stadium. This recognizes the service Jimmy has given as club secretary and treasurer over a long number of years.

Annual General Meeting St. Patricks GAA Club

The Annual General meeting of St. Patricks GAA club will be held on Friday 5th  December at 7.00pm in the club rooms at Anner Park Cloneen. Please keep this date free as we review 2014 and plan for 2015.

The Annual General meeting of St. Patricks Juvenile GAA club will be held on Thursday 4th December at 8.00pm in the club rooms at Anner Park Cloneen. We ask parents of juveniles to attend and play your part in planning for your children’s activities for 2015.
