Junior Football

Our junior footballers played their first game of the year last Sunday

in Cloneen against Emly in the County Adult Football League. The game

was played in terrible conditions. The first was a low scoring affair

with the swirling wind making it impossible for both teams to create

scoring chances but we were leading by 3 points to 2 at the break. The

second half was pretty much the same as the first with scoring chances

hard to come by. Although we had chances to win the game, in the end

we had to settle for a draw on a scoreline of 1-5 to 2-2. The team

was: Richie Needham, Ciaran Mockler, Colm Dunne, Eamon Needham, Neil

Gleeson, Paddy Moroney, Conor Barry, Shane Gorey, Robbie Meagher, Tony

O'Brien, Mark Mullally, Darren Boland, Nicky Kearney, Aidan Buckley,

Willie O'Brien, Aaron Cronin & Conor Cuddihy. Our junior footballers

are due to play their next game this weekend but no fixture has been

made when going to print.

Our u21 game did not go ahead last Sunday due to a waterlogged pitch.

They also are due to play this weekend but no fixture has been made as

of yet.
