Glengad Notes

November 8, 2018

Glengad United lost ground in the Premier League when they were defeated by Illies on Sunday last by 3 goals to 1, at home in the Crua.  Illies were full value for their win as Glengad turned in their poorest performance of the season so far.  Allan Orr scored Glengad’s consolation goal from the penalty spot in the 85th minute.

In the morning the reserve team was comprehensively beaten by Illies reserves in the Reserve Shield competition.  Paul McDermott scored Glengad’s only goal.  The reserves have already qualified for the Reserve Shield semi final and play Quigley’s Point Swifts on Sunday next at a venue to be decided.

The senior team has no game next week as the Inishowen League play Galway in the Oscar Traynor competition.
