Congratulations to all from Dundalk Gaels who took part in the Great Ireland Run. Over 40 runners and walkers took part from the club in what was a great day out.
The bus set off from the Gaels just after 10am with everyone in great spirits. Times for completion varied for everyone, but well done to Conor Oakes, the fastest home from the Gaels contingent who finished in a very impressive 42 minutes.
The day continued up in Kennedys bar on the Carrick Road were a lovely meal was had by all and plenty of drinks were flowing to ease the aching muscles!! Thanks to Kennedys for their hospitality on the evening.
A great day and night was had by all and huge congratulations and thanks to Gerry Oakes for all the work and organising he has done to ensure the success of this event. Sponsorship is still being collected for the very worthy causes of Temple Street Childrens Hospital, St Vincent De Paul and Dundalk Gaels Development Committee. If you have not yet sponsored anybody please do so.
