Our Firsts continued their league campaign last week, securing an 8-1 victory over NUIG.
Five super goals from U16 International Dora Gorman, two from Mary Healy, and the final one from Captain Neasa McGettigan, made it clear that Greenfields are strong contenders for this years Connacht League.
Coach Bryan Madden was delighted with the teams performance on this occasion, following their performance the previous week, where they had to work hard to find the back of the net against an experienced Yeats side. With three games left to play: Galway 1sts, Galway 2nds and Yeats, the club hopes the first team can continue this form and take the 2009 League cup.
