Greenfields back four of Clodagh Greally, Clodagh Kennedy, Alison Ryan and ever green captain for the day Catherine Moore never put a foot wrong and ensured that Sinead Collins was not too busy in the Greenfields goal. Our Lady’s best move of the game was just after the half time break. Aisling Boyle took a quick free at midfield and passed to Emma Wallace whose shot was cleared off the line by Alison Ryan. Garrett might have doubled the lead on the 15th minute when her shot brought off another good save from Laura Strokes.

Greenfields go forward to Round Three of Irish Hockey Trophy Competition
November 8, 2018
The draw for round three has been made.
Greenfields meet Cork’s Ashton HC, in a home draw, on Saturday Jan 28th 2012.
Our Lady’s Terenure 0 – 1 Greenfields Hockey Club
Our Lady’s, which caters for past pupils of Our Lady’s School lined out with several members of their successful Leinster schools team of 2005.
Even though their victory margin was just a single goal, Greenfields always seemed to be in control and did not loose their patience when they were foiled on several occasions throughout the first half by a series of top-drawer saves by Our Lady’s goalkeeper Laura Strokes from shots by Mary Healy, Alice Meagher and Trish Garrett.
However Greenfields dominated the game from there on and took the lead in the eight minute. A good clearance by Clodagh Greally found Rachel Wyer on the right side of midfield. She passed to Mary Healy who gave a quick flick to the lady of the match Trish Garrett on the left. She dribbled into the circle taking on two defenders and finished with a superb shot into the left hand corner.
This competition continues on an open draw basis for each round, so Greenfields have to wait for next weeks draw to see who they will face in round three on Saturday January 28th 2012.
