Following a rigorous selection process, Irish U18 Girls Coach, Richie Malone, has named his panel of 28 players for the upcoming year. Being a non-European Championship year, the highlight for the group will be the Home-Nations Tournament, which pits Ireland against England, Scotland & Wales. It will be held in July 2010 in Cork City.
Seven players on the panel are from Connacht, of which two represent Greenfields. Congratulations to Dora Gorman & Katie Codyre, both of whom have previously represented their country at U16 and U18 level.
Irish U16 Girls Coach, Una McCarthy, has also named her panel of players who will compete in the European Youth Nations Championship. This competition will be held in July 2010, in Barcelona.
Connacht is represented by two players, including Grainne Mulkerrin, a former Greenfields player, who now plays with Alexandra College.
