Happy Birthday

November 8, 2018

Frank Gaynor celebrated his 70th Birthday with a big party in the Clubhouse on Saturday night last, with lots of family and friends.  Frank was the first secretary of Olaf’s GAA Club when we got going in 1981. He is from the Jones’s Road area of Dublin, in fact he grew up next door to Croke Park and done his training as a kid on the hallowed turf of Croker. He played senior hurling and football for Scoil Ui Conail in his younger days, and looks young enough to be still playing. Some of his team mates from those years were Dublin stars Mik Bohan and Larry Shannon, both of whom played for the last dublin senior team to play in an hurling All Ireland Final in 1961.

We wish Frank a very happy birthday, and best wishes to him and his wife Gene and their family.
