In the Connacht Senior League Competition, two important matches remain to be played for our Firsts.
Success in both matches will give Greenfields the title, after a gap of 15 years.  On Saturday March 28th @ 6pm they play Galway 2nds, & on Monday 30th @ 7.30pm , Galway 1sts.
They are looking for plenty of support, so come on out & lend your voice!

In the Senior Cup competition, Greenfields 1sts play Galway 2nds next weekend, Sunday April 5th @ 2.30pm, in the 2nd leg of the semi-final.
In the first-leg match last Sunday, the same opponents battled it out until ten minutes before the final whistle, when Greenfields’ Katie Codyre scored the only goal of the match.

In the Junior Cup Competition, Greenfields 2nds were drawn against Galway U16’s, in round one.  In an exciting match played last Sunday, the game went to penalty strokes.
Greenfields emerged the winners, & meet Renmore in the semi-final, on Sunday April 5th @ 1pm in Mervue.

Further afield, our own Dora Gorman has played in three test matches this week for the ‘Ireland A’ squad.  The squad travelled to Rüsselsheim, Germany to compete against the German U21 squad.  After securing a one-all draw in their first test match on Monday, they lost by just one goal in the second match, finishing 1-2.
In their third test match, legs appeared to be tired. They finished 1-4 to Germany, but despite the scoreline, they put in a good performance.
