Important Supporters' Meeting on 23 September

November 8, 2018

Dundalk FC would like to clarify the news story that appeared in the Dundalk Democrat on Tuesday 13 September. There will not be a club meeting after this Friday’s match with Bohemians. Instead, the meeting is planned for after the match with Saint Patrick’s Athletic on Friday 23 September.

Speaking to the Democrat, Matthews has revealed that two offers are on the table to take over the club, and while admitting that he is likely to accept one, he has yet to make a decision. The potential takeovers are from Ciarán Bond, backed by investors, and the DFC Trust, who would look to make it a supporters-run club.

Matthews will discuss the matter with supporters following next week’s game against St. Pat’s, with the meeting to begin shortly after the match in the Youth Development Centre, between 9.45pm and 10pm. There, Matthews will tell supporters the financial situation at the club and explain the proposals that are on the table.

Unlike previously stated – no final decision will be made at this meeting.

ALL supporters are encouraged to come along to this meeting.
