In Pearse Stadium on Monday evening we beat Moycullen in our final group game in the Intermediate Hurling Championship on the score 1-12 to 0-14 and as a result we are now in the knock out stages of the competition. We were behind at half – time by one point despite playing against the breeze on the score line of 0-5 to 0-6 with our points coming from Con Butler 0-3 and a point each from Joe Fahy and Adrian Murphy. Moycullen started well in the second half and were three points ahead before Adrian Murphy collected a pass from Carl Leonard to shoot the only goal of the game. it was tit for tat through the rest of the half before Mathias Coleman scored an excellent point in injury time to give us victory by one point.
