Intermediate Hurling League – St. Catherine’s v Ballygarvan

Intermediate Hurling League
St. Catherine’s 3-13 Ballygarvan 2-4
A very much under strength Ballygarvan gave a good performance before coming off second best in this league game V St Catherines in Ballynoe yesterday.
Between injuries and holidays, Ballygarvan could only include 4 of the players who played in the two County Championship Finals versus Kilbrittain last year. Add in the factor that the squad included 4 minors, who travelled to make up the squad, in spite of having to rush back to Ballygarvan to play their own minor fixture in the afternoon, and this was a big ask. In fairness to the lads present, they played manfully, and with a little bit of sharpness in front of the post, they could have scored much more.

Scorers for Ballygarvan: D Sweeney 1-0, A Murphy 1-0, G White 0-2, M Dowd 0-1, M O’Callaghan 0-1,
