Fundraising
Sean Treacys have recently appointed a fundraising committee. Comprising John McHugh, Sean Kennedy, Myles Devitt, Kevin Browne, Fr Enda Brady and William Ryan they have taken on the task of fundraising for the running of the club to support the general running costs, the development of the club grounds and the promotion of fair play and coaching at all grades. In typical Sean Treacys spirit the group have taken to the task with gusto and have set out a number of events throughout the coming year starting off with a monster table quiz, known as The Pride of the Village, whereby using remote video link a parish table quiz takes place in Kennedys Bar Rearcross, The Cross Bar Kilcommon and Jim Ryan’s Bar Hollyford.

We ask that all supporters, members, players and indeed all parishioners support the efforts of the committee as we strive to build on our recent underage success and bring home silverware whilst continuing to concentrate on the coaching and development of our juvenile teams

We hope to see you all at the Pride of The Village quiz in your local on 16th May at 9pm

West Intermediate Championship
We played Rockwell Rovers in Clonoulty on Monday 4th in the preliminary round of the west championship. Despite playing all bar the first 20 minutes with an extra man we failed to make our numerical advantage count and though we finished strongly we were unable to reel in the New Inn men and lost out on a scoreline of 0-17 to 0-15.
The team lined out as follows: Shane Stapleton, Andy O'Brien, Willie Mackey, Declan Hickey, Emmet Ryan, Sean Hickey, Tom Hickey, Matt Feehan, Denis Stapleton, Brian Carey, Seamus Carey, Jody Ryan, Patrick Carey, Donncha O'Brien, Paul Ryan. Subs used: Darragh Kennedy & Tom Ryan.
We now take part in the losers group, the winners of which qualify for the west semi-final.

County Intermediate Championship
We play Golden Kilfeacle in round 3 of the county intermediate championship at 3pm on Sunday 10th in Clonoulty

West Junior League
We played Cashel King Cormacs in the west junior league on Friday 1st May. An early Ger O’Toole goal kept us in the hunt throughout the 1st half however Cashel started the second half much brighter and held a 6 point lead with 10 minutes remaining however with our half back line of Simon Maher, TJ Quigley and Ger Egan now dominant we created the platform for an unlikely comeback which took off in earnest when a well-placed clearance found Ollie Carr who shrugged off tackles to finish low to the net. With Mikie Hayes now causing trouble for the Cashel defenders it resulted in further chances and points from John Butler, Ger O’Toole and Sean Kennedy completed the job as the match finished in a draw on a scoreline of 1-11 to 2-08.

The team lined out as follows: Seamus Butler, Mark Hogan, Seamus Costello, Sean Quigley, Simon Maher, TJ Quigley, Ger Egan, John Berkery, Liam Nolan, Ger O’Toole, Sean Kennedy, Mikie Hayes, Willie Hourigan, Ollie Carr, John Butler. Sub used: William Ryan
