Our intermediate team suffered a disappointing defeat in league on Sunday morning. They travelled to play county junior finalists Ardnaree on the outskirts of Ballina but came off second beat. The home side lead from start to finish and got a dream start with a goal from the throw up. They continued their dominance for the remainder of the opening half to lead 2-5 to 0-3 at the break. The second half was a much more even affair but Ardnaree had built the foundations for victory in the opening period to win on a score line of Ardnaree 2-10 Mayo Gaels 0-7.
