Greenfields 1sts met Our lady’s, Terenure at 1.45pm in Dangan, on Dec 5th. This match was cancelled two weeks ago due to the inclement weather.
The match started badly for Greenfields, & following some simple errors, they were two-nil down after only five minutes.
The players then seemed to come to life, & gave a fine display of hockey. Three superb goals were scored before the half-time whistle, & Greenfields were back in the game.
A few tense moments in the second half kept the supporters on their toes, but the players held firm, & the final whistle blew to a score of three-two for Greenfields.
They are now through to the final 16 teams in Round III, & travel to Co. Tyrone, competing against Omagh, on January 16th 2010.
