‘Tis seldom a junior hurling team can score 3-14 and lose a game. It happened our junior hurlers in Dungourney on Sunday morning last. Having got a walk over from Sarsfields in Division 2 of the Junior Hurling League we needed full points from our two remaining games against Dungourney and Cloyne to qualify for the League final. We led by 5 points at one stage but when a team has to play with 14 men for a long period it’s difficult. Dungourney came out on top in the end by a single point, 2-18 to 3-14, but it will go down as a game lost by indiscipline which is a shame because it just cancels out the great efforts of the rest of the team.
