JFC "B" Championship Semi-Final: Clonmore 1-9 Ballinabranna 2-16

November 8, 2018

Clonmore started well and raced into a 1-4 to 0-2 lead after 13 minutes, the goal coming from Paddy Doyle after a goalbound shot by Kevin McCarney had been blocked and good points from Tom Tallon and Ivan Byrne. However it was all downhill after that as the physically stronger Ballinabranna team took control to lead by 1-8 to 1-5 at half-time.
The second half was mainly one way traffic as B’branna’s outstanding midfielder, Eric Robinson, produced a match winning performance with nine points, leaving many spectators to wonder how this man is not playing at a higher level.
