Our Junior footballers played their first game of the championship last Monday evening 1st June in Monroe where Ardfinnan were our opponents. Due to injuries and a number of players failing to show up we just about managed to field a team. The first half was slow to get going and scoring chances were limited. We went in at half time 3-2 down. The second half got better for us and we scored the only goal of the game through Mark Mullally which was the difference between the teams in the end as we won 1-8 to 0-8.
