Junior Football News

Our ‘B’ grade footballers were in action in both League and Championship. On
Thursday night they were defeated by 0-9 to 1-3 by Lisgoold in a Division 3
Junior Football League game. Then on Tuesday night we travelled to Lisgoold
again to take on Aghada in the East Cork Junior ‘B’ Football Championship.
We had a good win in this game by 3-6 to 0-11. Full report next week.

Junior ‘A’ Football
Our Junior ‘A’ Football team are in championship action next week. On
Tuesday night we are down to play Youghal in the quarter final of the East
Cork Junior ‘A’ Football Championship. Youghal have come through the ‘back
door’ in this competition so they have an extra game. This will be their
second team but will have a very strong panel available. We defeated
Glanmire in the first round on St Patrick’s Day but have had little football
since. This will be a tricky game and with a semi final spot on offer this
will be a major challenge for us. The game is fixed for Castlelyons on
Tuesday 15th May at 7.30pm. Go for it lads.
