Junior Hurling Ballygarvan 2-6 Valley Rovers 0-12

November 8, 2018

Turning to face the wind, Ballygarvan lost full back Donal Sweeney with a hand injury to a blatant dangerous pull.  Still they fough manfully and points from Mark O’Callaghan and Liam Dillon left Ballygarvan ahead coming near the end. However Valley’s equalised withy the last puck of the game to deny Ballygarvan a victory that they would have deserved.

On a positive note Ballygarvan handed junior league debuts to Jack O’Halloran, Matthew Thomas, Emmet Ahern and Tim O’Halloran, all under 18 years old. However the night was soured by the thuggery on Donal Sweeney, who has a broken bone in his hand as a result.
