The junior team enjoyed their first win in Section 1 of the Reserve League, on
Wednesday May20th in
The ground conditions were very wet and heavy making ball handling difficult. This was underlined by a low first half score of 0-3 to 0-2 in favour of the home team. The Gaels, however, got their act together in the second half. There were some fine performances in the defence from Anthony Byrne, Martin Connor and Jonathan Walsh while Paul Mannion pulled off some great saves in the goal. Up front, Neill McGurrin was in good scoring form while Paul McGing pounced mid way through and took his goal well.
