Well done to our Mayo Gaels Junior team who put on a fine display on Saturday evening to beat Moygownagh in round 3 of the Div 1F league by 4-11 to 1-06.
Although Moygownagh refused to play 13 v 13, and we had to concede the points, the 13 we had available to us were well up for the occasion and put the visitors to the sword from the start.
Some fine displays from Liam Nally, Francis Regan and Ryan McGurrin ensured we went into the lead early on. With Kevin Kenna roving from box to box, a 1st half lead was never in doubt. This form continued into the 2nd half where Brian Heneghan and David Sloyan were solid and Shane Ralph made his long awaited comeback with a starring role.
Well done lads, As a great neighbour used to say "keep her lit" .
The next game for Mayo Gaels Juniors will be this Saturday May 2nd, where we are away to Garrymore at 7pm.
There are a few more "legends" yet to make their appearance this year, so make sure you are in attendance.
