The Mayo Gaels Junior team lost out to a very strong Garrymore squad on Saturday May 3rd to a scoreline of 5-18 to 0-05.
Although this was a very heavy beating and the tie was settled at an early stage, our lads didn't drop the heads and fought on to the end. The younger players showed very well while the players returning from injury got through successfully. This, in essence, is the real purpose of a Junior team and as long as we are fulfilling fixtures and providing these opportunities for our players, then we are doing well.
