Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickham GAA club extends their deepest sympathies to Geraldine Shanahan of Garrane House Cashel on the death of her beloved Mother Maureen O’Brien (nee Ryan) who died on Wednesday last the 15th of December after an  acccident. We also offer our condolenses to Geraldines husband Gerry, daughter Irene, Maureens Sister Lal Slattery and her husband Pat of Gurtussa and their family on their very sad loss. May she rest in peace.

Congrats Madge.

The Holy Father has conferred a Papal Honour on Mrs Madge Crowe of Donaskeigh in recognition of her Thirty Years service as Sacristan of St Bridgids Church Donaskeigh. The Benemerenti Medal was presented to Mrs Crowe after Mass on the 21st of November. We join with His Holiness in offering our congratluations and best wishes to her on this happy occasion.

Book launch

A new book entitled ‘Micheál Mac Cárthaigh – Fíor-Ghael Thiobraid Árann’is was launched on Tuesday night lastext the 14th Dec. in Brú Ború, Cashel @ 7.30pm under the auspices of Conradh na Gaeilge. The book, which features lectures and addresses given by Micheál over many years, has been compiled by Dónal Ó Muirgheasa O.S., former Principal of Knockavilla N.S. and will be on sale @ €10.

Card nights .

The card nights at the old courthouse in Dundrum are proving a great success and are continuing every Wednesday  night from 7.00 – 9.00pm.

Knockavilla /Donaskeigh Youth Club.

Knockavilla/Donaskeigh Youth Club continues every Friday night in Knockavilla Community centre from 7 pm to 8.30pm. The first few weeks have been  great fun for all concerned. The club is open to 8-12 year olds attending  primary school.
