Sympathies.
Knockavilla Donaskeigh  Kickham GAA club extends its deepest sympathy to Mary Cussen and family of Wardpark on the death of her husband Billy on Saturday last after an illness borne with dignity and courage. In the 1950s and early Sixties Billy was very involved in the running of the Kickham Club and served as Secretary for a number of years in the late 50s.His contemparies of that time remember him as a very efficient club officer who served Kickhams well at divisional and County level. His love for Kickhams remained undaunted through his life and as a mark of respect to Billy and the Cussen family he received a guard of honour of club members on the evening of his removal to Knockavilla Church. As a further mark of respect Senior hurling training was cancelled and the Kickham lotto was carried out in the clubrooms on Monday night. Ar Dheis De go raibh a anam dilis.
Kickham GAA Juvenile club Notes.
Congrats Phil.
Congrats to Phil Ryan and his fellow selectors on the Tipperary U/16 hurling who had an emphatic victory over Galway in the All Ireland final which was played in Semple Stadium on Sunday last. We also would like to thank all who gave of their time and donated  sandwiches , cakes etc on Saturday last when the club hosted Galway, Cork and Waterford in the opening rounds of the competitionwhich culminated  in a cracker of an All Ireland semi between Galway and Kilkenny in the evening. Those that were there worked very hard and it is much appreciated. A special word of thanks to our Caretaker Davy Horgan , our local Fas workers and our young linesmen for their efforts beforehand and on the day.

Vodafone ‘Support your club programme’.
Its common knowledge that the club that works together wins together and Vodafone have come on board to support GAA clubs with this novel programme. It’s the easiest way for you to support your club at absolutely no extra cost to you. All Vodafone customers can sign up to this scheme and Vodafone will donate 5% of your pay monthly or top up bill to the Kickham club who are a recognised club on their web page. If you are not a customer and you wish to make the switch to Vodafone it will mean even more money for the club. For any of the options it’s only a matter of contacting Tommy Hayes on 062-62244 or Sean Breen on 062-71131 with your details. Alternatively you can text on your details to Tommy on 087-7934739 or Sean on 087- 2646441 and you will receive a text from Vodafone confirming your registration. You can also log on to www.supportyourgaaclub.ie or go to the Kickhams web page and click on the link. There are many 087 numbers within the Parish as well as family members living around the country. This is a very good way of bringing in much needed funds and all at no cost to the supporter so get calling and texting now and let family and friends know as soon as possible. It’s a chance to get involved in your club and only a phone call away.
