SYMPATHY.
The committee and membership of Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams extend their sincerest sympathies to Tom and Biddy Stapleton Clonkelly on the
recent death of Tom’s brother Dan, late of Mill road Thurles after a long illness bravely borne. We also offer our condolences to his devoted
wife Ann and the extended Stapleton family on their sad loss. In his youth Dan wore the black and amber of Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams with
pride and the club was well represented at his removal from The Cathederal in Thurles to his final resting place in Holy Cross Abbey Cemetery.

JUNIOR (A) HURLING.
After their epic extra time stalemate the previous week which served up 9 goals in total Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams and Drom and Inch served
up another cracking game of hurling in this Co. Quarterfinal replay which was played in Leahy Park Cashel on Saturday afternoon last. They say
goals win matches and Kickhams took their three goal chances while the Mid reps only managed one on this occasion, but that would not tell the
whole story, both teams were very evenly matched and the resulting exchanges and tussles for the sliothar and the skill levels on show were a
credit to the participants. There is a match report elsewhere in the Nationalist but suffice to say our lads did not yield when the pressure was
at its greatest in the closing stages. They played intelligent hurling and gave their all for the jersey and they were deserving winners on the
score Kickhams 3-15 to Drom 1-18. We congratulate the panel and management on a job well done. At time of writing the Co. Semifinal has been fixed,
for Templemore next sat @ 3 O’Clock with Knockshegowna as oposition, come along and shout on your team.

CO FINAL.
Congrats to John McCormack & all his officals in refereeing co final last Sunday.

SALE OF WORK/FIREWOOD AUCTION.
Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams will hold their annual Sale of work/ Wheel of Fortune and Firewood auction on Sunday the 17th November. As with
every other year we are asking landowners or anyone with access to firewood to please donate some trailer loads if at all possible. With this
present dry spell fields are very drivable throughout the Parish and we are willing to cut any unwanted firewood if you cannot do so yourself.
Please contact Tommy Hayes @ 087-7934739 , Kevin Farrell @ 087-6857564 , Pat Mc Cormack @ 087-7986234 , or Sean Breen @ 087-2646441 .
The Kickhams firewood auction with its tractor and car trailer loads of quality hard wood as well as Spruce for stoves, all blocked and split is
a great fundraiser for the club and along with the Sale of work and Wheel of Fortune has contributed greatly to reducing the outstanding balance
of the financial debt owed by the club. A debt that was necessarily accrued during the development works that included the purchase of lands
from Coillte Teo to develop a new field as well as the works that were carried out on the entire property, New spectator Stand, Dressing rooms,
Perimeter fencing, hurling wall and much more all to ensure that the playing and meeting facilities at Kickham Park in Dundrum are of the highest
quality and are being enjoyed and appreciated by all within the entire club, including Juvenile, Camogie as well as the Senior section of the
Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickham GAA Club. So in the coming weeks we will be holding meetings to organize the various events on the day and we would
appeal to all involved in or with an interest in Gaelic games in our Parish to please come along, get involved with your club and help our native
games to continue to proper in our Parish and community.

RAFFLE TICKETS.

Our annual fundraising tickets raffle will take place at the Sale of work on Sunday the 17th of November. There are great prizes including a 32”
television as first prize and a number of cash and spot prize as well. We would ask all members to please collect some tickets from the club
officers and help make this another success.
