SENIOR FOOTBALL
Kilrossanty played some of there best football for many a year last
Friday night when we defeated ballinacourty in the championship. We got
off to a great start and were 1.2 to no score up after 9 minutes
thanks to 2pts from P Whyte and a great goal from J Veale.
Ballinacourty `got on the score board with a pt after 15 minutes and a
goal four minutes later however kilrossanty replied with a J Coade pt
after 22 minutes and a M Walsh pt just before half time to leave the
score kilrossanty 1.4 ballinacourty 1.1 The second half started with a
ballinacourty pt this was followed by a good goal from A Quinn and a
pt from J Coade ballinacourty again pointed before P Whyte got a pt
from a free.We exchanged pts again with a ballinacourty pt after 10
minutes followed by a N Walsh pt 3 minutes later. Ballinacourty then
got 4 pts with out reply to leave 2 pts between us however the lads
didn’t panic and went up the field where N Walsh scored the last pt of
the game to leave the final score Kilrossanty 2.8 Ballinacourty 1.8
Our backs had a great game and so did our midfield while all our
forwards scored which was great to see.Overall it was a great team
