 Junior Hurling
We went in search of our first win in the Junior Hurling Championship when we took on table toppers Ballysaggart in Abbeyside in the penultimate round of games on Friday the 22nd of June. We held our own in the early stages but failed to put points on the board having created some decent scoring opportunities. At the other end of the field Ballysaggart were far more clinical, hitting very few wides and they soon opened up a comfortable lead with county minor Stephen Bennett netting a goal midway through the first half along with a number of well taken points. 1-9 to 5 points the score at the break with our scores coming from David Power, Kieran Power and Alan Quinn. On the turnover our opposition continued to show their superiority, turning the screw to further increase their advantage. This start to the second half put the result beyond doubt but credit to Kilrossanty they kept battling and kept in touch with scores from Fintan Walsh, Paul Keating, Ger Hickey, David Power and Alan Quinn. It ended 1-19 to 11 points

Junior Football
We faced Stradbally in the Junior Football Championship in Leamybrien on a miserable evening on Thursday night last. We had the better of the exchanges in the first half with a John Coade goal and points from Willy Brazil, Mattie Kiely and Eoin Houlihan having us 1-4 to 1-1 to the good at half time. Stradbally took the initiative after the restart and put us under a lot of pressure for the duration of the second half. Another Mattie Kiely point kept Kilrossanty’s account topped up but Stradbally’s dominance eventually began to tell as they narrowed the gap, eventually drawing level. As it was that was how it finished with the teams tied on 1-5 a piece but Stradbally will rue chances they missed in the second half which could have tipped the scoreline in their favour
