D.V.D of the Comeragh Queen Festival available from Crottys price 10
Euros which is great value. The D.V.D features all the events of the
Comeragh Queen Festival.

DEISE DRAW.
The Club had one winner in the Deise Draw last Friday night hosted by
Dungarvan G.A.A Club. The lucky winner was Eliza Hayes the Pike who
won 250 Euros, well done Eliza and a speedy recovery to Eliza who is
recovering from a leg injury at present. The next draw will be hosted
by Brickeys G.A.A Club.

UNDERAGE NOTES
Training is cancelled this Friday evening due to a Senior Hurling
match in the field.
Under 8’s
Our under 8 boys have 2 games this Friday evening at 6.30pm, one game
of hurling and one game of football against Abbeyside/Ballinacourty in
Abbeyside GAA pitch please be there at 6.15pm.  Please make sure you
bring your hurley and helmet.
Under 12’s
Our under 12’s took part in the second night of the football league in
Touraneea last Friday evening. The fixture was originally for Ring but
there was a venue change which we were not aware of,  apologies to all
of the parents and mentors who ended up having a longer journey than
planned.
Under 13’s
Under 13 hurlers played their final game against Ring last Wed evening
they put up a challenge but came out the losers on the night, well
done boys you did your best.   Under 13 Football championship is
commencing the weekend of Sept 9th training has already commenced and
notification will be sent weekly regarding training.  Please make a
huge effort for training as this is championship and we would
appreciate a good turn out and 100% effort from all.
Under 15’s
Under 15’s are taking part in a Munster Blitz on Sat 10th Sept, Paul
Whelan will be in contact with all of you regarding training and venue
for the event.
Roanmore Blitz
Under 8’s and 9’s are taking part in the Annual Roanmore Charity Blitz
on Sat 10th Sept, this year the chosen charity is ‘Solas’.

SCRAP METAL FUNDRAISER
The Club is holding a scrap metal collection this Saturday  the 3rd
of September from 9am to 5pm to help raise money for the building of a
spectator stand. We can help clean up your environment at no cost to
you. People are urged to collect any unwanted scrap metal   and donate
it to Kilrossanty GAA Club.   Here is a list of items accepted
Household items such as:  biscuit tins, steel oil tanks, empty drink
cans, metal coal buckets, empty food cans (washed), steel coal
bunkers, saucepans, steel window frames, kettles (not plastic),
boilers,  steel garden furniture, gas & electric cookers, gas heaters,
dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, microwaves, steel gutters, golf
irons, sink tops, ironing boards, clothes irons, radiators, solid fuel
cookers, copper, food mixers, brass ,electric knives, aluminium, cast
iron fireplaces, lead, bicycles, electric cable, go karts, sheep wire,
swing frames, trampolines, fencing wire, goal posts, lawnmowers,
buggies, prams, walkers, exercise equipment.
Farm & Building Machinery such as:  old cars, engines & parts,
batteries, gates, railway lines, corrugated iron, wheel barrows,
trailers, cement mixers, tractors, diggers, transport boxes, water
pumps, combine harvesters, electric motors, hay balers, silage balers,
blinders, hay turners, milk tanks, mowing machines, buckets, ploughs,
milking machines, toppers, milk coolers, agitators, ring feeders,
slurry tanks, barrels etc.
                                        IF ITS METAL WE WANT IT
Items that we cannot accept are: fridges, televisions, timber, tyres,
gas bottles, ceramics or household rubbish.

SATURDAY THE 3rd OF SEPTEMBER OR RING KEVIN ON 087 6021964 TO ARRANGE
COLLECTION.

CLOTHES BANK
Don’t forget to make use of the clothes bank that is in the gaa car
park for any old shoes, clothes, curtains, sheets, etc, The club will
get €3 for each bag that is recycled.

SYMPATHY.
Sympathy is extended to Mary Fennell, Knockeylan on the death of her
mother Margaret Burke Knockeylan who died last week, sympathy also to
her son in law, John and grandchildren and great grandchild. Burial
took place in Kilrossanty Cemetary.  Margaret was a great supporter of
the Kilrossanty G A A Club. May she rest in peace.
