Senior Ladies

Senior ladies had their first defeat of the season on Sunday last in Malin. In what was a disappointing overall team performance Margaret Browne, Fiona Allan, Catherine Mailey and Dorothy Mc Hugh acquitted themselves well. The final score was Malin: 3 6 St. Mary’s 0 4. Scorers: Stephani Bonar (0 2), Lydia Fowley (0 2). Training continues on Wednesday at 7pm. The next league game is away v Red Hughs this Sunday.

 
The draw for the Junior championship took place at the county board meeting last night. St. Mary’s are at home v St. Nauls in the preliminary round on June 28th. The first round is on 12th July and if we are successful in the preliminary round will meet the winners of Red Hughs v Bundoran. The semifinals will be played on 8th August with the final on 23rd August. Girls please keep these dates free!!!

Under 16’s

The under 16 girls defeated Naomh Columba last week and  have a break now until after the exams when they play in the county semi-final. Congratulations are extended to Aoife Mc Laughlin, Lauren Guthrie, Niamh Mailey and Fiona Allan who were part of the Donegal U16 team who defeated Tyrone to win their 3rd Ulster title in a row.  

 
Under 14’s
The under 14’s captained by Ciara Gallagher had another good win on Thursday night last away to Robert Emmet’s. Grace Doherty was outstanding for St. Mary’s scoring 3 6 in total in what was a great team performance. Team: Caoimhe Browne, Charlene Black, Rebecca Prunty, Sarah Allan, Alana O’Donnell, Grace Doherty, Ciara Gallagher (C), Gabrielle Duffy, Victoria Flanagan,  Nadia Mc Gee and Megan Quinn. The next game is on tonight 28th May away v Red Hugh’s at 6pm. Players are asked to meet at pitch at 5.50 for bus please. Next week sees the girls away to St. Eunans.
Good luck to Grace Doherty and Annie Rose Quinn who are representing the club on the county under 14 team who play Monaghan in the Ulster final in Convoy on Sunday at 2pm.
