Ladies

November 8, 2018

St Mary’s senior ladies enjoyed a winning start to this year’s campaign against a spirited Muff side. Lousie Doherty was outstanding in attack and was ably supported by Joleen O’ Kane and Stephani Bonar. In what was a tremendous defensive effort the half back line of Aoife Mc Laughlin, Aoife Mc Ginley and Lauren Quinn were particularly strong. In the second half the opportunity was afforded to some of the subs to show what they could do and Caroline Black, Brid Duffy and Dorothy Mc Hugh all acquitted themselves well. The team will hope to build on this result in the season ahead.

Scorers: Niamh Mailey, Lauren Guthrie, Gemma Mc Glinchey, Stephani Bonar, Fiona Allan ,Aoife Mc Ginley and  Aoife Mc Laughlin.Next weekend sees the girls away to Red Hughs. Training continues on Wednesday evening at 7pm. New players welcome.
