Ladies Under 14 Championship
Our Under 14 ladies team have reached the county final due to Tullamore’s unavailability to play the semi final last weekend. This means that the girls will now play the final this coming Sunday June 10th against the winners of Ferbane/St. Rynaghs. Time and venue tba at the time of going to press. We wish Gabriel and Ronan and the girls the very best of luck in this very important Feile year for the girls

Senior Ladies

Our senior ladies team continued their championship preparation with a challenge game against Ballyna on Wednesday last in Johnstownbridge. The Ballyna girls have been making great strides recently and the game proved to be a very good challenge for our ladies, with some of the younger players playing really well and gaining further experience at this level. In the end the Ballyna girls just about came out on top but only after a very competitive outing which was of great benefit to both sides

Ladies Under 10 Update

The ladies Under 10 team continued their Offaly League campaign with an away game against Tullamore on Friday last. This was the girls’ second game in the Offaly league and after winning well against St. Broughans, Tullamore proved a much sterner challenge. We had a panel of 18 girls which was great for an away game and once again every girl got at least one half of football. Despite conceding physical advantage the Edenderry girls played out of their skins to win the game in the end by 10 scores to 8. Well done to captain on the day Amy Lynch (who scored her first ever point for Edenderry) and all the girls on another great performance. The panel of players for the game was as follows: Alicia Kavanagh, Ali Connell, Amy Lynch (capt), Aoife Tyrrell, Casey Sheridan, Kiah Farrelly, Amy Dunne, Katie Dunne, Maria Doyle, Jenna Comerford, Shauna Comerford, Stephanie Williams, Tara Dunne. Leah Callan, Sarah Lynch, Michelle Cullen, Zara Rowe and Ciara Johns. The girls next game is at home next Tuesday at 6.30 against St. Vincents.

Feile Update

Last weekend was another big one in our Feile Fundraising drive. On Friday and Saturday we had a bag pack in Dunnes Stores which went very well, thanks to Bernie Gorman and all the parents and players who gave a dig out. On Saturday night we had a night with Midnight Blue in Byrne’s Oak Wood Inn and another good night was had with some badly needed funds generated. The club would like to say a huge thanks to the band who generously gave up their evening to help support our Feile cause. The last of our Feile fundraisers is a face painting and fun day in Supermacs which will take place this coming Saturday June 9th – please support if you can.
