On Saturday last our u15 girls played the East Cork 9 a side camogie final against Killeagh in Killeagh at 1.30 pm.The girls were really up for it but unfortunately on the day Killeagh proofed much too strong for us.A strong cross breeze in the first half seem to deter our girls and we never got into the game for the entire half.In the second half the girls played absolutely supberb and notched up some excellent scores but it was,nt enough to pull back the lead Killeagh had gained from the first half. Great credit is due to this great panel who are very young and so committed and some awful refereeing decisions on the day was not easy for our girls or supporters for that matter to take. Our thanks to the Killeagh club for their hospitality , our team and supporters were invited to the club house for refreshments afterwards,and a well deserved stop in Mc Donalds for the team in Midleton on the way home was the tonic the girls needed.It is now back to football for a lot of these girls who play Carrigtwohill in the East Cork u14 final in the next few weeks.
