Under 12's

Under 12 girls played their 3rd league match last Wednesday evening in Cloneen.  A lot of girls were unavailable to play on the evening but the 11 girls that togged out, truly put on a great display against Moyne.  Both teams were fairly well matched.  St. Patricks had a lot of possession throughout the whole game and surprisingly failed to score in the first half while Moyne put 1.2 on the board. A jig around of players and a good chat at half time and the girls came out in the second half with a point to prove.  Sophie O'Brien tried for a goal and hit the cross bar and on her second attempt the goal was disallowed but on her third attempt she made sure it hit the back of the net and the green flag went up.  Niamh Boland followed on with another goal making the girls feeling more confident and enjoying a tough game. Two good points followed from Keelin Ryan and Niamh Boland.  Our girls once again worked very hard but unlucky not to pull a win out of this game.  Final score was Moyne 2.5 to St.Patrick's 2.2.  Well done to all.  Our next match against Thurles will follow in the next week or so.
