Kildare provved no match for a strong Laois under 21 team on St Patricks day in Portlaoise .
After 2 big wins against Wexford and Carlow respectively Kildare travelled in hope to their near neighbours .However, Laois proved a bridge too far and a goal midway through the first half set Laois up for victory. A second goal for Laois on the stroke of half time left Kildare with a mountain to climb .
Despite gallant efforts from Keith Cribben and Ciarán Graven there was no way back .
