Mens Team slip up

Mulranny Utd 4 Killala 0

Killala dropped 3 points away to Mulranny Utd in a game they will quickly want to forget. They never got going against a stronger an more organised home side. Having to travel without a number of regular players this game was never going to be easy but a number of first half chances that went unconverted let Mulranny take command of the game. Team Sean McHale, David Cadden, Eamon Knox, Matt Webb, Noel McLeish, Mark McLoughlin, Marc McDonnell, Jonny McNulty, Kevin Whyte, Brendan McNulty, Michael Noone Subs Dean Fielding Kenny Sheridan

Mens Team into the Semi-final of Tonra Cup

Killala 1 Clew Bay United 1              Killala win 4-3 on pens.

Sean McHale emerged the hero from a good nights work by the Kilala team at Courthouse St. on Saturday night. He saved twice in the shoot out  to give Michael Noone the chance to cover himself in glory with the last kick  to win it and he duly obliged.  Mark McLoughlin , John Clarke and Rory Gallagher were all succeesful  from the spot. The game itself was played at terrific pace with the visitors snatching an early lead and their slick passing game might have given them a greater advantage at half time but for some stunning saves from McHale in the home goal. the one  goal advantage seemed to be enough to win it though until Richard Lynn ‘s injry time strike forced the game into extra time. Team Sean McHale, Matt Webb, Brendan Ryan, Eamon Knox, Mark McLoughlin, Marc McDonnell, Jonny McNulty, John Clarke, Alan Murphy, Rory Gallagher and Michael Noone, Subs Brendan McNulty, Danny Galagher, Kenny Sheridan & Richard Lynn

This hard fought win at Courthouse St. over near neighbours Moy Villa was enough to give this  young Killala team top spot in the league .
