INTERMEDIATE HURLING LEAGUE
Our first team played St Marys of Clonmel at the cross on Sunday last in the last round of the Intermediate league. Weather conditions were poor on the day with a strong breeze playing a major role. We played with the wind in the first half and contributed 8 points to St Marys 1-3.However we also drove many wides in the opening period, should we have got these the scoreboard would have been more satisfactory. Although goals from William Ryan and Paul Shanahan along with five more points in the second half spared our blushes of driving wides and saw us claim victory on a scoreline of 2-13 to 1-10.Sean Treacys team/scorers was as follows: Seamus Butler Simon Kennedy Joey Ryan TJ Quigley Denis Stapleton(0-1f) Sean Kennedy(0-2,65’s) Ger O Toole(0-1) Paudie Ryan(0-2,1f) Jamie O Toole(0-1) Paudie Carr Ollie Carr(0-1) John Butler(0-1) William Ryan(1-1) Paul Shanahan(1-2) Declan Hickey(0-1).Subs: Shane Fahy for W.Ryan.

JUNIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

Our footballers travelled to Dundrum on Saturday evening last where they played Rosegreen in the first round of the Junior A football championship. Conditions were very poor on the evening with the weather playing a major role. Rosegreen were strong on the day and the saying goals win matches was certainly the case here as it ended 2-07 to 0-8 in favour of Rosegreen. Our next outing is against Solohead on Friday, 3rd June in Cappawhite @ 19.30pm.This may be subject to change so pay heed in text notification.
