Intermediate Hurling: Lorrha 1-11 Moycarkey-Borris 0-11
Lorrha will be playing senior hurling for the first time in ten years in 2008 after defeating Moycarkey-Borris on the county final in Nenagh on Sunday afternoon. See Match Report.
It was hard-fought game in the conditions with the character and no little skill of the players shining through. The team returned to Rathcabbin and Lorrha to a heroes welcome and it was great to see the Lorrha support there in such great numbers with people coming from near and far for the final.
Team: Kevin Hough; Jack Maher, Tony Hogan, Tadhg Nevin; Ciaran Haugh, Stephen Hogan, Kevin Maher; Rory Coen, Michael O’Meara; Michael Cleary, Patrick Maher, Noel Hogan (Capt); Ronan O’Meara, Trevor Hogan, Colm Duggan. Subs used: Kevin Liffey, James Dunne, Ciaran Duggan.
Lorrha now represent Tipperary in the Munster Championship and will play a semi-final against either Carrigtwohill (Cork, away)) or Clonlara (Clare, at home) on Sunday, 11 November.
