Intermediate Hurling: Lorrha 3-15 Galtee Rovers 2-12
Lorrha are through to the county intermediate hurling final after a hard fought victory over a good Galtee Rovers side in Semple Stadium on Sunday on Saturday afternoon.
Three early goals set us on our way but Galtee Rovers fought back and it was only in injury time when we finally could breath easy.
Team: Kevin Hough; Jack Maher, Tony Hogan, Tadhg Nevin; Graham Houlihan, Stephen Hogan, Kevin Maher; Rory Coen, Michael O’Meara; Michael Cleary, Noel Hogan, Patrick Maher; Colm Duggan, Brendan Coen, Ronan O’Meara. Subs used: James Dunne, Garrett O’Meara, Kevin Liffey, Trevor Hogan.
The second semi-final between Ballina and Moycarkey-Borris ended in a draw and will be replayed next Saturday. The final is expected to be played on Sunday, 28 October.

Under 21: Lorrha will play Burgess in the North Under 21 semi-final on this Saturday in Cloughjordan at 3.30pm. Good luck to the players and management.

Minor Football: Lorrha 0-9 Nenagh Eire Og 2-2
Lorrha won the North Minor ‘A’ title for the first time in their history with a slender one point win over Nenagh Eire Og in Puckane on Tuesday last. See Match Report.

Sponsorship: With our Intermediate & Under 21 Hurling and Minor Football teams still in their respective championships, anyone wishing to sponsor any of our teams for the remaining games can do so by contacting any committee member. All sponsorships will be acknowledged.

AGM: The Annual General Meeting of Lorrha GAA Club takes place in the GAA Clubhouse on Saturday, 1 December at 8.30pm. With the accounts being prepared in the next few weeks, any outstanding money owed to club is to be paid to treasurer Tina Young.
The annual auction will take place on Sunday, 9 December with more details closer to the event.

Congratulations to Michael Kinsella and Lorraine Haughton on their nuptials at the weekend and they are wished the very best for the future.
Congratulations also to Billy and Rachel Dagg on their 40th wedding anniversary recently.

Lotto: The numbers drawn on 8 October for an €9000 jackpot were: 3 – 7 – 13 – 22. No Winner.
The Lucky Dips were: Ruth Moylan, Barbara Dunne, Brendan Daly, Puppy Maher, Gerry Donnelly. The Winning Promoters were: Eamonn Maher, Martin Hough and Joe Cleary.
A new lottery ticket of the Lorrha GAA lotto will be coming on stream in the next couple of weeks. The new ticket will contain three boxes with numbers ranging from 1 to 30. Each player can play one box for €2, two boxes for €4 or three boxes for €5.

Old Time Dancing: Our Old Time Dancing continues in the GAA Clubhouse on Friday night to the music of Midnight Melodies. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
