Intermediate: Lorrha 3-15 Templederry 0-13
Lorrha qualified for the North Tipperary Intermediate Hurling Final after an eleven-point victory over Templederry in Cloughjordan on Sunday evening.
After waiting five weeks for the game, the players were eager for action and first half goals from Colm Duggan, Ciaran Duggan and Ronan O’Meara set us up for victory. See Full Match Report.

Lorrha will take on Ballina in the final on Sunday afternoon next in Nenagh at 3.30pm. We encourage all Lorrha supporters to be in attendance and hope to see plenty of blue and white donning the parish for the week ahead.

Minor Football: Lorrha will be playing their Minor A Football Final against either Nenagh Eire Og or Kilruane MacDonaghs in the next couple of weeks.

Senior Football: The Lower Ormond combination team, Thomas MacDonaghs won the North Tipp Senior Football title on Tuesday night last beating Fr. John Kenyon’s. Thomas MacDonaghs are now into the County semi-final, which is expected to be played on 14 October.

Camogie: Congratulations to Mary Hogan, Caoimhe Kennedy, Aoife Brady and Mairead O’Meara who won All Ireland medals with the Under 16 development squad in Roscrea on Saturday last.
We would also like to wish the best of luck to Colette Cleary who is in an Under 14 All Ireland blitz with Tipperary in Dr. Morris Park, Thurles on Saturday next, 29 September. Hopefully the outcome will be successful.

Get Well: The club would like to wish a speedy recovery to Mary Brady and Tommy Dowd.

Lotto: The numbers drawn on 17 September for an €8,550 jackpot were: 20 – 24 – 27 – 28. No Winner.
The Lucky Dips were: Fiona Daly (x2); Kieran Ryan, Colette Houlihan and Phyllis Kennedy. The Winning Promoters were: Geraldine O’Meara, Mark Carroll and Margaret Gleeson.
A new lottery ticket of the Lorrha GAA lotto will be coming on stream in the next couple of weeks. The new ticket will contain three boxes with numbers ranging from 1 to 30. Each player can play one box for €2, two boxes for €4 or three boxes for €5.
At last weeks lotto meeting, it was decided to hold the lotto draws in future on a Monday night with all lotto promoters to have their tickets left at the collection points on a Sunday night.

Old Time Dancing: Our Old Time Dancing continues in the GAA Clubhouse on Friday night to the music of Brian McDermott. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.

Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the Lewis and Turner families on the death of Bernadette Turner, Carrig who died recently. May she rest in peace.
