Golf Classic: Lorrha GAA Club is holding a fundraising Golf Classic in Birr Golf Club on this Friday, 20 June. The timesheet slots are running out but you can still book your tee-off time by contacting Mick Liffey (087-2578370) and Tony Coen (087-6219639). A team of four costs €240 which includes a post-game meal. Hole sponsorship is €100. A great day is guaranteed with entertainment later in the evening when the prize winners are announced.

Senior: Lorrha 1-10 Toomevara 2-12
Lorrha bowed out of the North Championship after producing a performance full of character despite mitigating circumstances but unfortunately it was not enough to beat Toomevara. Lorrha will now go into the County ‘B’ Hurling Championship which will start later in the summer.
The club would like to wish a speedy recover to Patrick Maher who sustained a broken bone in his hand during Sunday’s game.

Junior: Lorrha 2-13 Nenagh Eire Og 0-9
Lorrha got their Junior ‘A’ Championship campaign off to the perfect start on Friday evening with an impressive win over Nenagh in Puckane. Goals in either half from Brendan Coen sent us on our way but we had good performances all over the field including Liam Carroll, Enda Moran, Donal Kennedy and David Bourke.
Lorrha’s next game will be against Roscrea on the weekend after next.

Minor Hurling: Portroe v Lorrha in Portroe on Friday, 27 June at 8pm.

Under 14: Commiserations to the Under 14’s who lost the North ‘A’ Football Final on Saturday afternoon last. Despite missing a number of players, the team played to the very end but Portroe were full deserving winners. See Match Report.

Under 8’s & 10’s: Training for both age groups continues on Saturday mornings at 11am.

Tipperary: The club would like to wish Ciaran Haugh the best of luck in next weeks Munster Minor semi-final v Clare.

Lotto: For a trial period, all those who play three panels for €5 will be entered into a separate lucky dip draw for €50, provided the draw is not won.

Old Time Dancing: Our Old Time Dancing continues on Friday night to the music of Paddy Blanche. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.

Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the Molloy family, Lordspark on the death of Sean Molloy, Portumna who died last week. May he rest in peace.
