Intermediate: Lorrha’s second championship game against Shannon Rovers has been delayed by a couple of weeks. Lorrha took on Boherlahan in a good competitive challenge game on Sunday and a match against Lusmagh has also been arranged.

Junior A: Lorrha take on Borris-Ileigh in our second game of the Junior ‘A’ Hurling Championship in Cloughjordan on Friday evening, 6 July at 7.30pm.

Under 21: Lorrha 1-16 Ballina 1-7
Lorrha enjoyed a comfortable nine point win over Ballina in the first round of the Under 21 ‘B’ Hurling Championship in Puckane on Wednesday evening last. The match began after a minutes silence for Paddy Madden who passed away earlier in the day. Lorrha got off to a blistering start with Willie Hough scoring Lorrha’s goal in the second minute. Kevin Maher, John Lambe, Eoin O’Meara and Eoin Gormally added points to give Lorrha 1-19 to 0-4 lead at the break.
Lorrha were sluggish for much of the second half and a Ballina goal reduced the lead to six but late points from Sean Cleary and John Lambe sealed the victory.

Minor Hurling: Lorrha recommence their Minor A Hurling Championship campaign on Wednesday next when they host Nenagh Eire Og in a mount-watering clash.

Under 16: Lorrha travelled to Borris-Ileigh for their first game in the Under 16 A Hurling Championship on Saturday evening. Despite a brave performance, the home side emerged comfortable winners. Final Score: Borris-Ileigh 2-18 Lorrha 3-5.
Lorrha will have played Toomevara in their second game on Monday night and recorded a 2-6 to 1-8 victory after a well contetsed match.

Under 14: Portroe v Lorrha in Portroe on Wednesday (tonight), 4 July at 7.30pm.

Under 12: Newport v Lorrha in Portroe on Wednesday (tonight), 4 July at 6.30pm.

Good Luck: to Patrick Maher and Ciaran Haugh who are on the Tipperary Minor Hurling panel for this Sundays Munster Minor Final against Cork in Semple Stadium.

Lotto: The numbers drawn this week were: 10 – 13 – 29 – 30. No Winner.

Old Time Dancing: Our Old Time Dancing continues in the GAA Clubhouse on Friday night to the music of Kieran Fogarty. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.

Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the Madden Family, Grange, on the sudden passing of Paddy Madden who died last week after a short illness. Paddy was one of the great stalwarts of the club and was present at as many Lorrha games as possible. He was also a great player in his day and won two North Senior Hurling Championship medals in 1956 and 1966. Ar dheis De go raibh a h-anam dilis.
