Senior: Lorrha 1-13 Roscrea 1-13
A late Colm Duggan free secured a draw for Lorrha in our opening senior hurling championship game against Roscrea on Sunday. See Match Report.
It was a good draw in the circumstances as we never played anywhere near our best and that is a positive as there is much more to come from the side. The club would like to wish Stephen Hogan a speedy recovery following a nasty injury secured in the game. Our next championship game is against Borris-Ileigh on 24-25 May.
Before then, we take on Cappawhite in the division two league semi-final on Saturday week, 17 May in Dolla.
Junior Hurling: Lorrha take on Kildangan in the third round of the league on Tuesday next in Moatfield at 7.30pm. A much improved performance is needed.
Under 16 Football: Lorrha were defeated by a very good Newport side in the semi-final of the Under 16 ‘A’ football championship in Puckane last week. The players did well to get this far and can now focus on the championship.
