Lorrha GAA News for 1 July

Senior: The senior hurlers recorded a good 1-23 to 1-15 win over Ballina in Moatfield on Sunday in round 4 of the County League. Lorrha's final league game is at home to Holycross/Ballycahill where a win could see us into the semi-finals. This game is expected to take place on weekend 15-16 July

Junior: Lorrha will play Roscrea in the North Tipp Junior 'B' Hurling League final next Sunday 2 July; venue to be confirmed. Best of luck to the players and mentors.

Minor: Lorrha Rovers face Silvermines on Friday 30th June in Moatfield in the final group game of the football championship with the winner progressing to the semi-final.

The Hurling Championship will resume on Thursday 6th July with Lorrha Rovers at home to Kiladangan

Under 16: Lorrha Rovers begin their U16 'A' hurling campaign away to Borrisokane on Monday 3rd July at 7.15pm.

Under 14: Lorrha Rovers Gaels game against Roscrea 'B' due to have been played in Moatfield last Thursday was called off. This Wednesday, 28th June, they travel to Cloughjordan to play Kilruane MacDonaghs at 7pm. Next Wednesday, 5th July, they play Borrisokane in Ballinderry at 7pm

Under 12: The U12 hurlers defeated Borrisokane 2-9 to 0-5 in Moatfield last Friday. This Friday 30th June, the play Kiladangan in Puckane at 7.00pm

Tipperary: Hard luck to Brian Hogan and the Under 21 hurlers in their Munster quarter final defeat to Limerick last Thursday.

Best of luck to both the Tipperary senior and minor hurlers in their upcoming All-Ireland and Munster Championship games this week.

Cul Camp: Lorrha Kellogg's Cul Camp takes place in Moatfield from Monday 24th to Friday 28th July from 10am to 2.30pm each day. Camp is open for 6-13 year olds, to register, go to and find the Lorrha camp in the Tipperary listing. The camp costs €60 for one child, €50 for a second and €40 for a third or more children and they will be provided with full camp kit.
