Lorrha GAA News for 1 September

Senior: Lorrha will play Roscrea in the third round of the County Senior Hurling Championship this Sunday, 2nd September in Cloughjordan at 2.30pm. Check County Board fixtures for time and venue. Best of luck to the players and mentors.
Junior Football: Lorrha will take on Inane Rovers in the first round of the North Junior ‘A’ Football Championship in Ballinderry on Tuesday, 4th September at 7.30pm.
Minor Hurling: Lorrha Rovers suffered a 1-27 to 2-10 defeat to Kildangan in their third game of the Minor ‘A’ Hurling Championship last Thursday. Lorrha Rovers need to win their last three games to have any chance of reaching the semi-finals. Ballina are our next opponents in Ballinderry on Thursday, 13th September.
Under 16: Lorrha lost to Kilruane MacDonaghs in Cloughjordan last Monday week. Last Monday took on Borrisokane in their final group game.
Under 12: Hard luck to our Under 12s who lost to Moyle Rovers in the quarter final of the Premier 12s Hurling End Games in Littleton last Saturday. It has still been a great year having won the North Final and also reached the North Final in football. Well done to the players and mentors.
Tipperary: Best of luck to the Tipperary Intermediate hurlers in the All Ireland Final against Kilkenny in Thurles on Saturday evening.
All Ireland Final Tickets: Tickets for the All Ireland Hurling Final will be drawn for among fully paid up club members only on Wednesday, 5th September at 9.00pm in the Clubhouse.
First Aid and Defibrillator Training: The club will be organizing a course following healthy expressions of interest. We are currently looking at dates in September and October to hold the course.
Sports Hall or Function Room booking: If anyone or any sports team would like to use of our facilities which include a sports hall, gym or training field with floodlights or function room, contact Sean Mannion on 087-3643031.
Dancing Classes: Sean-Nós Steps, Steps for Sets & Two Hand Dancing Classes will begin in the GAA Complex on Wednesday, 12th September for both adults and children. For more information contact Donie Morrissey on 087-9347968.
Social Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of J&S Sound. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
