Hard Luck: to Patrick ‘Bonner’ Maher and the the Tipperary senior hurling team in the All Ireland Hurling final against Kilkenny. “Bonner” put in a tremendous performance and he can be proud of his display and all in the club are proud of him.

All Ireland Final Preview Night: Thanks to all whom supported our All Ireland Preview Night in Nenagh last Thursday night. All our guests, Ken Hogan, Tony Considine, Jerry O’Connor, Denis Byrne and Daithi Regan provided incisive analysis of the big game and were well brought through the night by Ronan Quirke of Tipp FM.
The winner of the pair of tickets to the All Ireland Final was Neilus O’Meara while Michael Sullivan won the signed Tipperary jersey.

Senior: The seniors took part in the pre-All Ireland Final Kilmacud Crokes 7’s. Lorrha beat Padraig Pearses (Galway) in their first game but lost out in a high-scoring game to Clarecaste with the Clare side progressing from the group.

Minor Football: The minor ‘A’ football final against Ballina has been postponed until after the All Ireland minor football final.

U13: Lorrha lost to Portroe in their latest game last week. This Thursday, Lorrha take on Roscrea in Moatfield @ 6.454pm

Tipperary Training Fund Draw: There were no Lorrha winners in the first part of the Tipperary training fund draw. Those tickets will be retained for the second part of the draw which will be held on 25 September. Tickets are still available for the Training Fund Draw. Tickets are €10 and top prize is a Trip for 2 to the International Rules Series in Australia this October. Contact any committee member.

Scrap Metal: The club are considering holding a scarp metal collection day in the near future. If anyone has anything of any kind they want to get rid off, please contact any committee member.

Sports Hall or Function Room booking: Anyone interested in using the Function Room, Sports Hall, Gym or the Clubhouse for any event can contact Sean Mannion on 087-3643031.

Old Time Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Nightwaves. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.

Sympathy: Lorrha GAA would like to sympathise with the Power family on the death of Mary Power, Clonmona who died last week. May she rest in peace.
