Senior: Lorrha 4-10 Upperchurch/Drombane 0-7
Lorrha qualified for the county league quarter finals with a good win in Moatfield on Sunday afternoon. See website for report. Not date had been set for the quarter finals.
Lorrha play Kildangan in the first round of the senior championship in Nenagh on Sunday, 26 April @ 1.30pm

Junior: Roscrea 0-18 Lorrha 1-9
Lorrha lost out by six points after a good contest on Saturday night. Lorrha never really got going and after playing with the wind, trailed by one point at the break but Roscrea managed to pull away in the second half despite a Jack Maher goal. We play Nenagh Éire Óg in Moatfield this Easter Monday at 3pm

U21 Hurling: Lorrha 3-19 Templederry 4-8
Lorrha produced a fine performance to qualify for the quarter finals. Despite playing without Kevin Maher and Michael O’Meara, after a slow start Lorrha power to a 3-13 to 0-4 half time lead with the goals coming from Sean Cleary, Cian Hogan and Michael Hoctor. In the second half, Templederry cut the lead to five before three late Sean Cleary frees sealed the win. The club wish a speedy recovery to Diarmuid Mannion who suffered a broken wrist in the game.

Minor Football: Lorrha v Shannon Rovers Gaels in Moatfield on Thursday, 9 April @ 6.15pm.

U16 Football: Lorrha beat Ballina 3-12 to 1-9 in the first round of the championship. They play Portroe on Monday next.

U14 Football: Lorrha were beaten 3-6 to 2-4 by Borrisokane last Wednesday. They host Borris-Ileigh on Wednesday (tonight) in Moatfield at 6.30pm.

U12 Football: Lorrha recorded a good 3-4 to 2-5 win over Shannon Rovers Gaels in Ballinderry on Friday last. They will have a home game on Good Friday.

Adjourned AGM: At last weeks meeting, members voted in favour of going ahead with the development plans for the clubhouse and it is now hoed to proceed in the next month.

North Tipp U16: Philip Hogan and Niall O’Meara helped North Tipperary reach the Munster Inter-divisional Under 16 semi-finals over the weekend.

Lá na gClub: As part of the GAA’s 125 Celebrations, Sunday, 10 May has been designated as Lá na gClub. This day will be free of club and inter-county games with each club encouraged to host events to mark the influence of the GAA in the local community.

Indoor Hurling: Indoor hurling continues in Lorrha Hall on Friday night at 7pm with Team 1 in charge.

Membership: Membership for 2009 is now available. €40 – Adult Players; €20 – Non Playing Adults; €15 – Minor/College Students and Juveniles (with match ticket entry); €10 – Juveniles (without match ticket entry). All players must have their membership paid before the start of the league and all membership is payable to club registrar Jack Maher or any committee member.

Lotto: The numbers drawn this week were: 1 – 17 – 20 – 27. No Winner.
The Lucky Dips were: Frank Mahon, L&M, Jack Kennedy (Nenagh), Margaret Ryan (Roscrea) and Sheila Hoctor. The Winning Promoters were: Louis McCormack, Tony Coen and Martin Hough. Thank you for your continued support.

Old Time Dancing: There is no Old Time Dancing on Good Friday night. Resumes on 17 April to the music of Country Pride. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
