Lorrha GAA News for 11 December

Lotto: From the winter months, the lotto draws for the winters months willtake place at 9pm sharp in the Clubhouse so we ask all promoters and lottoplayers to have their tickets deposited before 8pm. Thank you for yourcontinued support.

You can play our lottoonline at www.helpourclub.ie where itis easy to play every week. Tickets are €2 each or three for €5.

 

AGM: TheAnnual General Meeting of Lorrha GAA Club will take place in the GAA Clubhouseon Saturday, 11 December at 8.15pm. Members are invited to submit motions andnames for the following roles by text to Secretary Kevin Hough on 086-0515324or email: secretary.lorrhaanddorrha.tipperary@gaa.ieor post: Lordspark, Rathcabbin, Roscrea. President; Vice-President; Chairman;Vice-Chairman; Secretary; Asst Secretary; Treasurer; Asst Treasurer; PRO;Registrar, Board Delegate, Development Officer, Coaching Officer; SchoolsLiaison Officer. Closing date for nominations and motions is Wednesday, 8December (tonight).

 

Auction: The Auction & Sale of Work takes place onthis Sunday, 12 December @ 2pm in Moatfield. There will be plenty of timber andturf on offer and after the cold spell, it will be valuable indeed. Farmproduce will also be available. There will be tea, coffee and other hotbeverages to keep the cold at bay. Anyone who wishes to donate trees forcutting or produce for the auction should contact Tadhg Nevin (0874125642) orNoel Hogan (0876176472). Thanks to all who have donated trees so far and to theplayers who have been busy of the past few weekends, cutting and splitting. Allmoney raised will go towards the purchase of gym equipment for the newextension to the clubhouse. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

 

Marathon: Our marathon fundraiser due to have taken placehas been postponed and will be rearranged for Christmas week.

 

Extension open: Our new extension to the Clubhouse is now openand members and non-members are invited to view it this weekend at the AGM andthe Auction. The facilities at Moatfield are now amongst the best, not only inNorth Tipperary but indeed the county. St. Ruadhan’s Park is a venue thatLorrha people should be very proud of.

 

Tipp Draw: AllTipperary Draw coordinators are asked to collect as much of their outstandingmonies as soon as possible.

 

Congratulations: to our Vice-Chairman Padraig Madden who married Pamela Carty lastSaturday. Both are wished the very best for the future.

 

Old Time Dancing: Old Time Dancing continues on Friday night to the music of KieranWhite. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.

 

Sympathy: LorrhaGAA would like to sympathise with the Dermody family on the death of WillieDermody who passed away last week. May he rest in peace.
