Tipperary GAA Clubs’ Draw: The 2011-2012 County Board Draw has now concluded and all promoters are asked to bring their accounts up to date in advance of the new Draw which commences on Friday, 18 May. Thanks to all that have supported the draw over the past year.
The 2012-2013 Draw will be its 25th Anniversary and there will be 25 Skoda Cars up front grabs (2 per month) as well as 25 monthly prizes of €500 each. Tickets are €100 each can be paid in two installments of €50 each; five installments of €20 each or ten monthly installments of €10. There is also a direct debit facility available. If you wish to join, please contact club coordinator Margaret Gleeson or promoters Madeleine Maher, Shane Brophy, Michael Hoctor, John O’Brien, Louis McCormack, Seamus Deely and Tony Coen.
Lotto: Numbers drawn last week were: 3 – 12 – 19 – 25. No Winner.
The Lucky Dips were: Jack Kennedy, Anne Coughlan, Kitty Slevin, Damien Sullivan and Eamon Mannion. The Promoters were: Agnes Sherlock, Madeleine Maher and Liam Reddish. Senior: The Seniors return to North Championship action this Saturday evening when they take on Templederry Kenyon’s in Nenagh at 6pm where we need a win to have any hope of remaining in the championship.
Junior: The Juniors suffered a heavy defeat to a good Nenagh Eire Og side in Moatfield on Saturday evening and have now bowed out of the league with the championship to begin next month.
Minor Football: Lorrha Rovers will play Nenagh Eire Og in the North Minor ‘A’ Football Final. This game will take place in the Autumn.
Under 12: Best of luck to our U12’s who take on Ballinahinch in the End Game of the Premier 12 Football competition in Newport this coming Saturday morning at 11.30am. The team reached the final with a hard fought 4-6 to 5-1 win over Templederry in Templederry last Friday evening.
Inter-divisional hurling: Congratulations to Brian Hogan who was goalkeeper on the North Tipperary U16 hurling team that retained the Munster title in Mallow on Monday afternoon.
Cúl Camp: This years Kelloggs Cul Camp will be held in Moatfield between 16-20 July from 10am-2.30pm daily. Cost is €55 for 1 child; €45 for second child; €40 for third and subsequent child. The camp is open to juveniles between the ages of 6 & 13. Each juvenile will get a Kellogg’s Cul Camp jersey and gear bag. Gym: Our Gym is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 7pm to 9.30pm. There is also a special class on a Thursday evening for those who wish to train at a slower pace from 7-8pm. Gym cost is €3 per member or €5 for non members.
Gymnastics: Midland Artistic Gymnastics training in Moatfield every Monday and Wednesday evening from 5-6.00pm.
Sports Hall or Function Room booking: If anyone or any sports team would like to use of our facilities which include a sports hall, gym or training field with floodlights or function room, contact Sean Mannion on 087-3643031.
Social Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Cupla. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
