Christmas 7’s: The club will be holding the second annual Lorrha Christmas Hurling 7’s in Moatfield on St Stephen’s Day. 12 hurling clubs will battle it out to try and prize the trophy away from defending champions Portumna while there will also be a Camogie tournament. Any clubs interested in taking part can contact Michael O’Carroll (0876200365). Later that evening, the club will hold a Christmas Party in the GAA Centre with music by ‘Cooney and the Boys’ followed by DJ Sean O’Meara. A day and night not to be missed.
Auction: Our annual Auction takes place at the GAA Centre next Sunday, 15th December from 2.00pm. There will be the usual supply of timber, fuel and farm produce available while the Camogie club will have refreshments available including soup and homemade bread. This is event has always been well supported and we look forward to it again.
AGM: The Annual General Meeting of Lorrha GAA Club will be held at the GAA Centre on Wednesday, 18th December at 8.00pm. The deadline for receipt of nominations and motions has closed. We urge as many players, members and supporters to attend and inform themselves about how your club is being run.
Mass for Deceased Members: will be celebrated at Redwood Church on Saturday, 21st December at 7.30pm.
Coaching Courses: Anyone interested in undertaking a Foundation level or Level 1 coaching course over the winter months are to contact HDC Chairman David Needham as soon as possible.
Tipperary GAA Clubs Draw: We would ask all the draw promoters and subscribers to bring their accounts up to date ahead.
Sports Hall or Function Room booking: If anyone or any sports team would like to use of our facilities, which include a sports hall, gym or training field with floodlights or function room, contact Sean Mannion on 087-3643031.
Social Dancing: Thank you to everyone who supported our special dance last Friday night which raised funds for the Typhoon Haiyan appeal in the Philippines. Next Friday, dancing is to the music of Dermot & Irene Ring. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
